Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It is for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It’s for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don’t see it nearly enough…

books-away:

Hey im in a ldr for just over a month now and im just kinda wondering if you have any tips or anything? We do talk a lot and we skype every night (apart from this week bc i am on holiday and shit wifi) and im just wondering if there is anything else? My parents dont seem to fully accept our relationship as they make fun of him and still point out other guys to me. I hate this bc i love the guy and i would rather be with him than anyone else..

Keep communicating. Communication is key!

Also, have a movie date online. Watch movies together.

This is to people who are wondering if it is worth it to be in a LDR. If you have to ask yourself if it’s worth being with them only through the internet and time away from each other, I personally think that you should just try it. If you grow apart, then it wasn’t meant to be and you don’t really need them. Yes, it’s very difficult not being able to go out for ice cream, or go bowling, or sneak into a movie theater together or whatever, but if you really do love that person, you wouldn’t care.

Well said!
